Anton Mélard de Feuardent is an internationally acknowledged economic and financial expert. He specialises in the valuation of assets and businesses and the economic modelling of contracts, public-private partnerships and financial instruments.

For more than 20 years, Anton has worked across a wide range of industries (oil, gas and mining; power, water and waste; aerospace and defence; construction and infrastructure; telecom; distribution, retail and franchise; banking and insurance; real estate, hotel and leisure). He has also developed a thorough knowledge of the contractual relations between governments and companies, and a comprehensive understanding of the key economic and financial principles underlying the valuation of such contracts.

Anton has been the advisor to several heads of State and Government. He has assisted the administrative authorities of more than 40 countries, the International Monetary Fund and other leading international institutions (e.g. OECD, World Bank, UN, EU) in contract negotiations, the definition of tax policies and regulatory frameworks as well as the public administration of complex contracts.

Anton is also a trusted advisor to numerous public and private companies, banks and investors, providing economic and financial figures for analysis and decision-making.

Anton has testified or submitted expert testimony as an independent expert on the economics and financial aspects of damages, in nearly 60 cases, before domestic courts, international arbitration tribunals, in both investment and commercial cases (ICSID, ICC, LCIA, ad hoc), as well as before competition authorities.

Anton also has served as an advisor and a mediator in many litigation and international arbitration cases.

Prior to joining Fair Links, in 2008, Anton worked at Arthur Andersen, then Ernst & Young in Paris within the consulting, valuation and litigation division.

Anton is a member of the Royal Economic Society (UK) and the Société Française des Evaluateurs (France).

Anton holds a Master in Economics from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (SciencesPo, France). He lectures economics at the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (SciencesPo, France) and damage valuation at the Ecole de Droit of the Paris-I Sorbonne University (France) and at the Comparative Law Institute of the Paris-II Panthéon-Assas University (France).

He is a native French speaker and is fluent in English. He also is competent in Italian and Spanish.
